“Secrets and Treasures of the Historic Center” is our third suggested walking tour through Naples. We begin our journey at Piazza Quattro Palazzi, easily accessible by metro. From here, we’ll venture towards the historic heart of the city, guided by the street known as Spaccanapoli, which splits the old town perfectly in half.

We’ll pause at a square known as the Body of Naples to uncover the mysteries behind the resting God Nile statue.

Our next stop will be the extraordinary churches where some of Naples’ most distinguished rulers rest. At Piazza San Domenico, we’ll also sample the renowned ministerial praline.

Undoubtedly intriguing will be the Sansevero Chapel, enhanced by the mystery and esoteric interests of the seventh Prince of Sansevero, Raimondo di Sangro, who created the famous anatomical machines.

Following that, we’ll explore the stunning monastic complex of Santa Chiara, featuring a remarkable cloister adorned with beautiful majolica tiles.

Then, we move to a square dominated by the immense Gesù Nuovo church, notable for its magnificent diamond-shaped rustication, originally part of a palace façade.

Our journey continues to Italy’s most impressive archaeological museum, and if our energy allows, we’ll conclude at the charming church of San Giovanni a Carbonara.
