Intro

Welcome to Rome” is a walking tour 🚶 that immerses you in the atmosphere of the Eternal City. This tour is easy in difficulty and takes approximately half a day. You can also watch the tour on our YouTube channel 🎬.

We’ll begin at Piazza Venezia, where all roads of Rome intersect. Here, we’ll explore the massive white monument, Vittoriano, which houses museums dedicated to the unification of Italy. Our first viewpoint will be the Quadriga Terrace at the very top. Then, we’ll cross the street to Palazzo Venezia. However, our tour will start at the Church of St. Mark the Evangelist, the patron saint of Venice. Afterward, we’ll pay homage to Madame Lucrezia and step into the palace garden’s patio. From here, you can continue exploring the palace or return another day, as the ticket from Vittoriano allows a 7-day return for this part of the tour.

Leaving Palazzo Venezia, we’ll pass by Palazzo Bonaparte and head toward Piazza della Minerva. We’ll admire the Elephant Obelisk there and visit a nearby church.

From the Basilica of Santa Maria Sopra Minerva, we’ll walk to Piazza della Rotonda, where the Pantheon is the main attraction – a must-visit destination.

The next stop on our journey is the impressive Dominican church of St. Ignatius of Loyola, adorned with three-dimensional frescoes. From there, we’ll pass through Piazza Monte Citorio and Piazza Colonna to two galleries: the elegant Galleria Alberto Sordi and the beautiful, art nouveau-style Galleria Sciarra. Then, it’s time to see the queen of Roman fountains – the Trevi Fountain. At the small square in front of the fountain, we’ll also visit the Church of Saints Vincent and Anastasius at Trevi.

The route continues to the former home of the master Gian Lorenzo Bernini, along with the nearby Church of Sant’Andrea delle Fratte, featuring Borromini’s dome on the exterior and Bernini’s angels inside.

The last stop on our route is Piazza Barberini, home to Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s beautiful fountains. The square also has a metro station, making it easy to return.
