✨ Welcome to the first walk through Warsaw’s Old Town — a place that rose almost from ruins after the war and today once again delights visitors with its history, architectural details, and unique atmosphere. This route is perfect for a relaxed introduction to the heart of historic Warsaw, with a map, a film, and the key stops along the way.
During the walk, we start at Sigismund’s Column, then continue past the Copper-Roof Palace and the Royal Castle, heading on toward St. John’s Archcathedral, the Jesuit Church, and Kanonia Square. Along the way, we also reach places where the spirit of old Warsaw feels especially vivid — the city walls and the Barbican, the Little Insurgent Monument, Szeroki Dunaj, the Old Town Market Square, and Piwna Street.
It is a walk full of landmarks, legends, and traces of the past hidden in townhouses, squares, and narrow lanes. All you need to do is slow down and follow the route to discover the Old Town not only as one of Warsaw’s great landmarks, but also as a place with an extraordinary story.
