The easiest way to reach Belem is by tram number 15, which departs from Praca da Figueira or Praca do Comercio to the “Mosteiro dos Jeronimos” stop. Our adventure begins with one of Portugal’s seven wonders—the majestic Jeronimos Monastery and Church. Next, in the western wing of the monastery, the fascinating Maritime Museum awaits us. Our next stop is the Fort of Good Success, home to the Combatant Museum. Right next to it stands the impressive Combatant Monument, guarded by soldiers on honor duty.
