This walk can truly be called legendary, as it brings together the most iconic sights of Lisbon. We start at Martim Moniz Square, easily reachable by metro from anywhere in the city. Here, we board the famous yellow Tram 28, beginning its route to Campo de Ourique/Prazeres. Our first stop is the unique and beautifully situated historical Prazeres Cemetery.

Next, we hop back on Tram 28 and head to Largo Portas Sol, located on the Alfama hill and offering stunning views. From here, we embark on the highest climb of our walk, though it’s not too strenuous 😊, up to the Castle of São Jorge. After exploring the castle, we pass by a neighboring church and wind through the charming, narrow streets of Alfama to reach the Sé Cathedral and the Church of Saint Anthony.

Having visited these two landmarks, the official part of our walk concludes. We continue with a gentle descent to the triumphal arch on Rua Augusta, finishing our day at the beautiful Praça do Comércio.
