commute 1,55 miles in time 0h36'👣
touring time ~3h00' 🎭

This walk is like holding a collection of Madrid’s most famous postcards in your hand. We begin in the heart of the city at Puerta del Sol, where we’ll stand on the plaque marking Kilometer Zero.

Strolling through charming streets, we’ll reach Plaza Mayor, a former bullfighting arena, where kings were crowned, and villains executed. Here, we’ll count the famous gates and discover the House of the Bakers and the Butchers. On the way, we’ll stop at San Miguel Market to taste tapas and enjoy a good coffee.

At Plaza de Isabel II, we’ll admire the Royal Theatre, and if we have a reservation, we’ll see the authentic aqueduct discovered during the construction of the metro station.

Next, we head towards Gran Via, marveling at the incredible architecture of this iconic street.

We return to Puerta del Sol to see the famous city emblem – a bear climbing a strawberry tree. Our walk concludes at the statue of Philip V, where we’ll try to read his achievements on the pedestal. We end in the heart of the city, ready to join its vibrant rhythm.
