“Baroque Masterpieces with an Ancient Backdrop” is a walking tour 🚶‍♂️ that takes us through the most iconic squares of the Eternal City. We begin at Piazza del Popolo, the grand entrance to Rome, before heading to the Spanish Steps and the lively Piazza di Spagna. From there, we’ll immerse ourselves in the baroque elegance of Piazza Navona, the city’s open-air living room. A restful pause awaits at the picturesque Campo de’ Fiori, bursting with flowers and life. Finally, we’ll end at the historic site where Julius Caesar met his tragic end.

As we stroll, we’ll uncover the ancient foundations of Rome, peeling back layers of history in a city that constantly reinvents itself. Baroque squares built atop the ruins of ancient structures, many of which witnessed significant events, create the unique charm of Rome—a place where every step feels like a journey through time.

The route is easy to follow but involves a fair amount of walking. We’ve planned for a full day to enjoy this adventure, though it still might feel like there’s never enough time. Note that some attractions along the way require tickets.
